NationsBenefits Announces Point of Sale Integration with Southeastern Grocers

Medicare Advantage and Medicaid members can use their health-plan funded supplemental benefit cards to purchase select groceries and OTC products at Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores.

NationsBenefits®, the market leader for supplemental benefits and healthcare fintech solutions serving the healthcare managed care market, today announced that Southeastern Grocers (SEG), parent company and home of Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, has joined NationsBenefits’ network of grocery and over-the-counter (OTC) retailers. Eligible Medicare Advantage and Medicaid members of NationsBenefits can purchase approved healthy grocery and OTC items at Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie locations.

Through the use of plan-sponsored funds distributed via NationsBenefits’ flex benefit card program, members will be able to purchase approved healthy foods, groceries, pantry staples, wellness essentials, and OTC medications in all Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery store locations across the southeastern U.S., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.

NationsBenefits’ flex benefit card program enables health plans to provide their members with a convenient way to pay for eligible items and approved services. Members receive a personalized debit card that gives them quick and easy access to funds that are loaded on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
