NationsBenefits Appoints John Reynolds, Ph.D., as the President of Health & Financial Information Technology

NationsBenefits® is pleased to announce and welcome John Reynolds, Ph.D., as the new President of Health & Financial Information Technology. In this role, Dr. Reynolds will use his industry knowledge and expertise in innovation and cutting-edge technology to help NationsBenefits connect the patient, payer, and provider with NationsBenefits' proprietary technology platform. This will help NationsBenefits streamline the approach in partnering with health plans who are looking for one third-party administrator to partner with for all their supplemental benefit needs.

Dr. Reynolds has over 30 years of healthcare services, benefit consulting, and financial technology experience. Prior to NationsBenefits, he was Business Lead for Cognizant’s Digital Healthcare Operations business line. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at UnitedHealth Group (Optum) and the General Manager of Optum Connect. Before joining Optum, he was President of FIS (Fidelity National Information Services) Healthcare, Government, and Biller Solutions. Before joining FIS, he was Senior Vice President and Business Director at Wells Fargo & Co., where he led the Global Trust & Custody business, Wells Fargo Health Benefit Services, and additionally was responsible for Bryan, Pendleton, Swats & McAllister, LLC, an employee benefits consulting business (owned by Wells Fargo & Co.) with a national client base. He also managed sales and customer service within the Global Cash Management department of Bank of New York/Mellon with National responsibility for the Healthcare and Consumer Products industries.

In addition, Dr. Reynolds is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota where he is a subject matter educator in Health Services Leadership. He previously served as Adjunct Professor at St. Catherine’s University where he has taught Healthcare Economics and Policy within their MBA program.
